Is St. Lucia worth it?

Hello! My fiancé and I are looking at St. Lucia, we are planning to do a week long honeymoon with a 10k budget. We are planning to do half in Ladera Resort and the other half in Sandals. We are looking for good views, rooms with pool and nice beach. Also we are foodies so food is important and we are not big drinkers. We would like to do some adventure or fishing. I am from a Caribbean country originally (we live in NJ USA now) so I don’t want the typical staying in a hotel and a bunch of people around. EDIT: Our second choice is the Maldives.
