Feeling a bit overwhelmed with the number of options for our honeymoon in July 2026.
A few key criteria: – beach / pool – not into all inclusive – big foodies so restaurant options nearby – probably 2-3 week trip from the UK – prefer to keep accommodation to less than £2k a week (but could do a mix of cheaper and more expensive places) – not too busy / not a party location (hardest ask I know, but would prefer not to be in the thick of it) – would love a private pool
So far we've thought of east coast of Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam as options. Even then, hard to know which areas tick the above boxes best.
In terms of places we've ruled out – we've traveled a lot in Europe and it's so hectic in July. I've been to Bali a few times so not super keen for that (although my fiance hasn't been yet). Caribbean looked a bit expensive for our budget. Maldives weather is awful around then. Also conscious a lot of SE Asia will be in the thick of monsoon season.
Any suggestions welcome! Or suggestions for specific areas / hotels in the above countries!
