Lake Como Honeymoon Advice

Hey all, just looking to get some advice,

Me and my wife (mid 20s) are looking at planning our honeymoon for May 2026, and we’re thinking of staying in Lake Como for 13 days. I just wanted to get any advice, pros and cons, weather etc.

Our current itinerary is: Flight from Manchester > Milan Malpensa > Taxi/Coach into Milan (spend a few hours in Milan > Train from Milan to Lecco > Train from Lecco to Varenna

We’re thinking of staying in Varenna for the duration, and then visiting the different provinces within Lake Como via boats, e.g. Bellagio, Menaggio.

We want the authentic relaxed Italian experience with cobbled streets, nice food, wine etc but without the busyness of Sorrento/Amalfi etc

Is this a good choice?
