Leave directly after wedding or a week later?

I like the idea of leaving the day after wedding for trip. It’s like the celebration continues, plus it just feels right?

I don’t like the idea of leaving a week later. Celebrating wedding, going back to work (normal life) then vacation? That stinks. BUT if we did that we could get a longer honeymoon.

What are/did you all do? Any regrets waiting a bit for honeymoon?
