My fiancé and I are getting married in June 2023 and plan to take our honeymoon either in October or November 2023. We will also be planning to start trying for a baby right after the wedding so I may or may not be pregnant during our honeymoon which might affect where we end up going. (Not sure if Zika is still a concern while traveling?)
We’re not really resort travelers as we prefer to explore local restaurants and don’t enjoy all inclusives.
We’d like to go somewhere we haven’t travelled yet with warm weather & ocean water that isn’t cold. My fiancé likes to surf as well so ideally a place that he can surf while I lounge on the beach. We also enjoy being able to explore the areas, go on hikes etc. We loved our time in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica so that kind of vibe would be more so what we’re looking for.
Places we’ve already travelled so far: Costa Rica, Hawaii, Mexico, Cuba, Bermuda, Portugal, Netherlands, Germany, UK, Spain, Cambodia, Thailand, India, US
We’re traveling from Ottawa, Ontario (Canada). We have about 14-18 days of vacation we could travel for.
