Looking for input

My fiancé and I are getting married May 2026. I’ve been looking at honeymoon destinations. We want tropical. He really wants an over water bungalow, but our budget is about 5-6k, so I don’t have high hopes for that.

Where would you guys recommend for that price range? Would the Bahamas be out of the question? I’ve contacted a travel agent, but she pretty much said all we could do would be Mexico or Jamaica in that price range. & we go to Mexico that January for a different wedding so would ideally like to go somewhere else.
