Maldives during monsoon season?

Hey all,

Looking at honeymoon options for my fiancé and I getting married this May. The Maldives have some really nice options in May and June when we’re ideally looking, but that may be because it’s their monsoon season. I’ve looked at numerous reviews on trip advisor and Expedia saying it’s hit or miss for the most part. And even when it hits, it’s only for part of the day. Furthermore, that some people going as far as saying with climate change the monsoon season isn’t reliably predictable. Wondering if anybody has any input on if it’s worth the gamble to pursue the Maldives early in the monsoon season.
