Maldives for 10 days?

Planning a March honeymoon and flying in from the United States – will we be bored with our time there?

We both work very high stress high hour requirement careers, so relaxation sounds good. But on the other hand, I don’t want to waste 10 nights we will likely never get again.

Looking for opinions/ways to split this trip up/go somewhere else in addition to the Maldives. We have seen recommendations for Thailand – but don’t want to take anything but a direct flight. Would island hopping make sense?
