Mauritius or Barbados?

My partner and I just got married, and after planning the wedding for almost a year, we are now planning our honeymoon. We are planning to go for a 1 week honeymoon sometime in October/November 2025 (although we are open to delay until next year). We've narrowed it down to 2 destinations due to various factors, Mauritius and Barbados. We're struggling to pick one as both options seem great from our research on the internet. Direct flights from the UK are 12h to Mauritius and 9h to Barbados. Barbados flights are also a bit cheaper (around £100-200 less), hotels are about the same price and the cost of food and things in Barbados are quite high compared to Mauritius. They both have nice beaches, but it seems that Mauritius has more attractions and activities to do. I'm leaning towards Mauritius and she's leaning more towards Barbados. From what we've learned, Mauritius offers more seclusion and relaxation while Barbados is more vibrant. So could you please help us make a decision?
