Hi There! Looking for some help while getting into the thick of honeymoon planning. We are planning to go the last two weeks of May. Hoping for 12-14 days with a budget of about $12,000 (not including flights, we have lots of airline points we will use). I have two very different thoughts right now.
1) Europe Beach for 1/2 and Europe Country Side for 1/2 – Happy to fly in between the spots.
- I love a beach and my fiancé gets bored very quickly so European beach town is a great in between. It would be so great to be able to walk to the beach but also into a town for meals. We love food, wine, live music, little bars, etc. Hoping to send about 6 days and happy to switch locations once here (maybe part of the town in a town and part on an island?)
- Looking for the second half to be in a very relaxed place where we can bike, hang out, maybe wine tour, eat all the food. Beach is not a requirement here but even a river or lake near by would be a plus. Same thing, hoping to spend 5/6 days.
2) South America – Argentina
- Doing lots of research and Argentina has been very intriguing to me. I think it kind of accomplishes a relaxing but adventurous honeymoon which is what I think we are going for.
- Thoughts: Fly into Buenos Aires, hit Mendoza for some wine tasting, and one last stop closer to Patagonia. My fiancé loves to fly fish and I like to hike so could be a cool mix of everything.
I would love to hear any suggestions or places that may accomplish both a relaxing but still adventurous location!
