Hi! My fiancé and I are making some very early honeymoon plans for April 2027 just after our wedding. We will only have 8-9 days (including travel days) before we need to head back to work. We’ll be flying out of Texas and returning to the Midwest. With that in mind, would love to get some input on a couple of the locations we’ve been eyeing.
Some preferences: – we’re aiming for a relaxing vacation with a good balance of culture and outdoor activities. We’d like a luxury boutique hotel experience but not an all-inclusive resort vibe – given shorter trip time, we’d like to stay in 1-2 cities and do local day trips rather than moving around too much (hence the locations we’ve selected so far, though Morocco might be pretty tough in that timeframe). – while we both like coastal scenery and hiking, we’re not beach bums. Warmer weather would be preferred, but water doesn’t necessarily have to be swimming temp – we like history, ruins, old towns, culture. Not super into museum-hopping – I’m vegetarian and my fiancé eats only chicken/fish. Hoping to find a place where we’d get some options for our dietary restrictions – we love wine and live music, but not super into nightlife
With that, would love to get people’s opinions on best option and suggestions for itineraries! Open to other options as well.
Between the two of us, we’ve covered southern Spain, France, mainland Italy, Germany, Austria, Turkey (Istanbul only), Tanzania, Uganda, Jordan, almost all of India, Maldives, Singapore, most of Mexico, and a few Caribbean countries so looking for something new.
