Mini-Moon Help!

Suggestions needed! We live in CT our wedding is June 25th. For background we were initially planning to elope and then go on a lavish honeymoon. But our parents offered to help pay for a traditional wedding. We’ve put this all together in just under 4 months. And even though our parents are helping with the big ticket items, we’re still paying for a lot. It majorly cut into our honeymoon budget.

We know it’s late, but we’d like to do a 3-4 day getaway/trip immediately after the wedding.

It has to be domestic US as FH doesn’t have a passport. Preferably somewhere within driving distance (flights prices are insane now) though I know flight deals are out there. Budget for transportation and hotel stay is $1500.

Places we’re strongly considering: Miami, FL Martha’s Vineyard, MA Newport, RI Myrtle Beach, SC Pocono Mountains, PA

We both enjoy the water. He loves to shop at high end retailers. I love museums. We love ethnic foods and a classy bar. Our favorite date is going to a comedy show. We don’t want to be totally off the grid but not in huge crowds of people either.
