We are getting married in exactly 2 months and always knew we wanted to do a big international honeymoon 3-6 months after the wedding (dreaming of Japan). Our wedding is in Texas..it’s winter where we are and we can’t imagine getting right back on the plane to return here as a married couple! We started dreaming of Mexico, maybe a small boutique hotel on the beach. We mostly just want to sleep in the sunshine and enjoy some fresh and healthy food so we have a relaxing start to our marriage! Major plus for turquoise blue water and a beachfront location. Tulum/Cancun seem bustling and a little too chaotic for this. Looking at Puerto Escondido or perhaps Isla Holbox. Cabo San Lucas was another option. Looking to stay less than 1k a night and 500 would be even better as we aren’t looking for huge resort vibe and are more on the adventurous side. A design hotel like Hotel Escondido (sold out for our dates and also not near water) would be amazing! Any advice?
