So me and my fiancé are trying to plan a honeymoon for June 2023 (I know, we’re late). I’ve been doing a lot of research into resorts, islands, etc. to try and figure out which resort would be the best for us, and I’m stuck between two at the moment: Sandals Grande St. Lucia and the Sandals Emerald Bay in the bahamas. I definitely prefer a resort with clear water and a pretty beach (both seem to cover those), some fun day excursions, and good food. We don’t really have a budget at the moment. I’ve heard a lot of great things about the Sandal’s Grande St. Lucia, and they have one of the “Butler Rodoval suites” left for our dates (they have their own small pool and hot tub and are near the beach from what I’ve gathered). But that puppy comes in at $13,300 without the flights being added in. I’m guessing because of the butler, which I’ve heard comes in handy? My fiancé is ready to pay that since it’s our honeymoon and you only get one of those, but part of me spirals when I think about spending nearly $16,000 on a honeymoon. 😅😅 I looked at emerald bay, and they have butler suites (that don’t have their own pools or anything) that are around $9,000 which is much more reasonable… Has anyone stayed at either of these resorts? I’m stressing because I know we need to hurry and book, but I don’t want to make a mistake in booking too quickly without enough research!
Also, how important is it to book the flights through sandals? I was planning on taking full advantage of that $98 booking for the moment, but I can’t if I book the flights as well. Do they still provide airport transfers even if you don’t book flights through them? Thanks!!
