Need honeymoon suggestions that allow me a few days of relaxation and pampering and allow my future husband a few days of sightseeing and fun activities, all while in sunny and warm weather in November!

We’re planning a November 2024 honeymoon, likely between 10-14 days (although we could possibly extend it to 18 days or so). We have no idea where to go though, and I could use some suggestions!

My future husband’s top destination is Japan (he’s also interested in Australia or New Zealand, and to a lesser extent, Hawaii, or maybe even Italy or Portugal). My top choice is the Maldives (although if we were going a different time of year I’d also consider the Amalfi Coast, and I’m curious about SE Asia – Thailand and Vietnam – and potentially something like Zanzibar followed by a Tanzanian safari).

I’ve traveled more than he has generally, and would really like to go somewhere I haven’t been before, go somewhere I probably wouldn’t go if it weren’t my honeymoon, and go somewhere that is warm and sunny and I can spend at least some time just lounging around being pampered. As far as places that are typically warm in November, I’ve already been to Mexico (including Cancun, Cabo, and PV), Hawaii, the DR, the Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos, the Cayman Islands, the Galápagos Islands, Belize, and Honduras, as well as Australia, New Zealand, and Bali.

He is not interested in a typical honeymoon beach vacation…. while he is fine with some lazy time, he also wants to have activities to do. He’s probably more interested in cultural activities (like museums) than really active outdoors things, but I think would be fine with either as long as there was something in the form of activities. I enjoy scuba diving, and also like museums, and hikes to a certain degree. That said, last year we did a fairly culture-heavy European trip and also a short trip to an all-inclusive in the Caribbean, and enjoyed both.

Ultimately, I’m fine with going on his dream trip to Japan for our honeymoon, and he’s fine with going on my dream honeymoon in the Maldives. However, I’d love if we could find a destination that we’re both equally excited about, or find a way to create a multi-destination trip that hits both of our wants.

If anyone has suggestions, I’m all ears! We’re located in a major US city, so are willing to fly almost anywhere.
