Need to vent.

I know I’m being ridiculous, but I’m really struggling that my husband and I can’t have a honeymoon. 3 months ago we eloped. We couldn’t afford a wedding, which I’m a little sad about but it’s okay. I was hoping we’d get some gifts from relatives so we could take a honeymoon but that hasn’t happened. We went on a little vacation to see some relatives back in 2019. We haven’t had any sort of break since then. I made a Honeyfund and sent it to all our relatives and everyone has just ignored it.

For our wedding we received an airfryer and some gift card to get custom photos. Something we don’t need. Now I would be a lot less upset if all our relatives were poor, but they aren’t. My now FIL, told my husband before we got married he’d give us some money. But that didn’t happen, and I’m having a hard time letting it go. I’ve struggled financially my whole life. I’ve only ever known living paycheck to paycheck. It’s okay, as long as we have a roof and means to take care of our animals.

Am I just being a brat complaining? Or it is normal for relatives to help out with a honeymoon?
