Looking to book a honeymoon to Italy/Greece/maybe Croatia end of summer 2022. We got an initial quote from a “luxury vacation planner” and who helps with booking accommodations, tours, and the logistics of going to the different cities and the locations as a “concierge service.” It’s $800 for her services to create an itinerary for us. It seems overwhelming to figure all of this out ourselves so I see the benefit of it, but friends (more adventurous travelers than me!) are steering us away from it saying you experience more from your own research…checking out air BnBs…referrals…etc.
Would like to hear input from those who use or don’t use travel agents and why? Should I go through a formal agency? Thanks!
