I know that the usual advice is to wait until after your honeymoon to change all of your official documents. I'm in a bit of a weird situation and looking for some advice. I think our plan is to go on our honeymoon ~6 months after our wedding. My passport expires the month BEFORE our wedding. What should I do? Do I renew it in October with my current name and then change it after the honeymoon and maybe pay for 2 passports? I'm guessing there's not a way to change my information before without doing a legal name change (and therefore paying for that) or getting married legally before?
