Planning Honeymoon, need tips

Hi everyone!!

My fiancé and I are looking into planning our honeymoon and I wanted to hop on here and see if we could get some advice. We're interested in Saint Maarten (the Dutch side, specially the Morgan Resort and Spa), but we've never been to the island and wanted some opinions. Is it a good place for a honeymoon? We're thinking 7 days total.

Are there other places where we should look into possibly going instead? Preferably within the same budget, our hotel stay for one week in Saint Maarten is roughly $1,800. Flights aren't really an issue (shout out to Delta Miles, am I right). Spending money once we're there is relative to where to we go, so our biggest budget concern is just the stay itself!

We're looking for opinions on Saint Maarten for a honeymoon just the two of us, things we might expect/be wary of if we do book, and any other possible suggestions that you know of within the same budget!
