Recommendations wanted: Tropical/relaxing honeymoon May 2026

We are finally looking into planning for our honeymoon and are still overwhelmed with options! Some things that are important to us:

• We want to lay around and do nothing most of the time. Would be nice to do some smaller scale excursions like kayaking or snorkling, but we mostly want to spend our week relaxing and laying by the pool
• Private pool/hot tub with our room
• Looking to spend no more than $10k (flights included) for 6 nights/7 days
• This will be our first time traveling out of the country, not sure if this matters but we are definitely newbies. So something easy-ish to get to with minimal layovers/shorter is preferred! (we would fly out of NYC metro area – JFK/Newark)
• Good/quality food is important to us and we definitely want to go somewhere that has good cuisine/is highly rated in this regard
• Resort being close to airport is preferred as I tend to get motion sick on long car rides

So far these are on the list:
– Keyonna Resort Antigua
– Hermitage Bay Antigua
– Beloved Playa Mujeres
– Ladera St Lucia (but definitely on pricier end, so we probably won't go with this)

If anybody has any recommendations or has been to one of above would love to hear your experiences!!
