San Diego/Hawaii Trip – need Recs

Planning to travel from the East Coast to San Diego (~3 days) and Hawaii (~7 days) and need some recommendations.

For San Diego, I’m looking at Coronado Beach and La Jolla Cove – any thoughts on the better place to stay and relax for a few days? Coronado looks more beachy and is closer to airport/Petco Park but La Jolla looks more unique and will provide great visuals. Looking to relax/try out food and drink/catch a baseball game while here.

For Hawaii, I don’t have as much planned right now. I read that it is best to see two islands so looking for some direction there. In HI we are more looking to sightsee and experience the culture with a few relaxation days mixed in.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
