Scuba diving honeymoon in Dec? Maldives? Australia? Belize?

Thinking of doing a scuba diving trip with my husband for our long awaited honeymoon. He is certified and has some experience, I have never done it. I would love to do a 2 week trip in December to a destination that is somewhat easily accessible from California in warm waters, in order to get certified and do some fun scuba diving! Anyone have recommendations of places/specific programs to sign up for? Thanks!!!
