Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana

My fiancé and I are looking at going to Secrets Royal Beach in Punta Cana for our honeymoon in October. I was wondering if anyone would recommend this trip or if there was a better alternative. Also if anyone does recommend it do you have any tips and recommendations for the resort. Did you mostly stay and do things in the resort or did you leave and go off site? Thanks.
