September 2025 Honeymoon HELP

I am getting married early September 2025 and my fiance and I are trying to get onto the same page about where we want to go. We have a bit of a lower budget, as we are both finishing grad school and my fiance wants to primarily pay for it on his own. I'd say our comfortable budget would be around 6/7k. We get married on a Friday, so we have potential to be gone for 7-8 days but anything 5-7 days is good for us.

Originally we thought Italy, but are maybe realizing that is a bit out of budget, but would love to make it work if possible. We then thought Hawaii because its gorgeous, but I am aware of them not wanting tourists, and that if you go you want to be sure to give back to local businesses, and be respectful, and I am not sure how well that would be planned, especially if we used a travel agent.

I guess I am looking for advice on what would be a beautiful and romantic trip- preferably out of America, or a place that feels out of America, that could be budgeted well, and where to look for booking, I've heard mixed things about Costco Travel, but getting a travel agent can be expensive.

If you have any advice at all please PLEASE help a girl out. I want a dream honeymoon, but dont want to go broke and dont want to have to worry about shitty travel planning.
