St. Lucia or Maui?

My fiancé and I are going on our honeymoon in April of 2026. St. Lucia is so much closer for us and more affordable for what you get. But I'm worried it may not be as nice as it appears online. We're not big drinkers, so we want to go somewhere with lots to do. I've heard mixed things about the excursions there as well. Does anyone have any insight?! Are budget is about 10k all together and we will be there 7 days. Our flights will be paid on points so our budget wont include that. ALSO if anyone has hotel recs for either (more so maui) that would be great!
