We never took a honeymoon to save money because we wanted to go to Europe maybe. He wants to save money and doesn’t give me any input on where to go and what to do. I think I can plan something in our budget but I need advice or his input on where to go so that I can start planning. This trip won’t happen if I can’t figure something out that makes sense because he doesn’t have time to plan it with me. Every time we talk we can’t agree and it doesn’t help I don’t have a firm or good idea I’m happy with.
I need help. Now I am trying to plan our trip all by myself, while being conscious of our finances, and there’s a few things I have to consider that make me feel lost in the planning process: 1) We have barely any travel experience (definitely not outside of the states) yet 2) I am allergic to gluten (not celiac) so finding accessible good tasting/quality meals is difficult even in the states sometimes 3) I have POTS (basically allergic to gravity lol) so I faint and get dizzy when I don’t drink water/eat and I can’t be anywhere super hot without proper water/cooling things (which is so annoying man) or strenuous activity like hiking also kills me 4) We hate bus tours/being crammed in a bus with strangers going to touristy places. We aren’t a fan of those kinds of things most times. So that rules out a lot of travel package options. 5) We have a budget of 6,000 MAX. Like barely have even that much because we are actually trying to buy a house at the moment. Only reason we want to travel now other than not getting to when we first got married is because we might want to start a family soon and if we don’t travel now it ain’t gonna happen till said kids are older. 6) My husband doesn’t get paid time off so we only have 8-9 days to go on a trip including travel time 😭
We love: good food, animals, unique nature, shopping, disc golf, safe/clean places to stay
We were thinking maybe 1-2 places to reduce costs and keep things more chill to explore.
We heard Italy has good gf options and London has nice shopping and Ireland has nice scenery. We don’t think Germany would work well because it’s so much bread and meat there and food is like our jam. France I heard is beautiful and has good food, but I’ve heard they hate tourists and are not the nicest to them (fair honestly) but we haven’t traveled before and don’t want to make people upset asking for directions. I’ve also heard good things about Budapest but I don’t know much about it. Please give me any help you can!! Any advice is appreciated otherwise we will never get a honeymoon and it’ll be my fault.
