So …. Just got married 2 days ago and have been exploring different honeymoon options.
Our dates are currently flexible and leaning towards anytime between August to March. We have a budget about 13.5k USD for the both of us, and will be flying out from South East Asia. Minimum of 5 nights ideally.
Here's some things that we would love for this trip:
- chilled and relaxed with some excursions
- nature focused so either beach, mountains, jungles
- preferably all-inclusive as we enjoy unlimited variety food options more than restrictive fine dining
- slightly on the luxury end, as we would like to splurge a bit and treat ourselves
- something that we might not be able to experience on a regular vacation/trip
- ideally nothing more than 18 hours of flight time (including layovers)
Places that we are considering:
- Maldives (exclusive and luxury + we both love the ocean and marine life, but we've just been going down the rabbit hole trying to pick a resort)
- Fiji (rich culture and marine life, but the travel time might be a pain)
- Tanzania (safari trip, but might not be a honeymoon trip since we would need to stick to a schedule)
- Raja Ampat (private charter, but this would get us only about 3 days for that budget)
- Bora-Bora, Seychelles, Mauritius are all options as well, but the travel time is longer than Maldives and not much cheaper
I've been working with ChatGPT for suggestions, hence the list above. However, I would really love to hear if there are any unique/rare suggestions for our honeymoon though. Something not quite common, perhaps.
