I’d love any suggestions on the following rough draft of a honeymoon itinerary. I initially wanted to build in a few days to take a train through Austria to Budapest but got advice to save that for a different trip because it would be too much transit. Right now we’re trying to nail down start/end cities and how long to spend at each base location.
October 5, 2025-10/6: Fly from the US to Venice
10/6-10/10: Venice (try our damnedest not to be part of the problem)
10/10-10/14: Bus to Piran. Rent a car and take day trips to Rovinj and/or Pula.
10/14-10/18: Drive to Ljubljana and explore the city. Plan day trips (likely to the Julian Alps)
10/18-10/19: Flight home to the US
