Warm honey moon destination near Japan for a new years time.

Hello!

I'm looking for some specific recommendations and advice. So sorry for the long post. Hopefully some people can help.

My fiance and I are getting married next Christmas (2026) in Nagano (we live in Japan) and are looking for a good honeymoon destination to relax a little before work starts up again after new years.

Here's our criteria, that makes things difficult.

  1. Somewhere close to Japan. We don't want to fly a bunch especially because work will start right back up again and we don't wanna deal with a ton of jet lag. Think direct flight from Tokyo that would ideally be less than 10 hours.

  2. Ideally somewhere warm. We could be convinced though if there's really a great destination you think.

  3. Going off of 1 we want somewhere without a huge time difference ideally within 2 hours of Japan time.

  4. Somewhere affordable as the Yen is super weak right now. I Know it'll probably be difficult but somewhere we can get away with like ¥30,000 yen a day. Again could be convinced up if the vibes are right. I understand this is a tiny budget.

  5. Somewhere relaxing and with nature. We both love all sorts of nature. We love history too but we'll be getting a decent amount of that from the wedding, we want something to contrast with it.

  6. Great food. We are foodies and love to eat wonderful food in local places.

We've looked at Phakut, Bali, maybe somewhere in Vietnam (seems like a winner if you know any specific places). Bali sounds nice but we're worried about rainy season, Phakut seems great but maybe crowds.

This might sound crazy or stupid but we really wanna go to Uzbekistan honestly, but it seems cold and really far for this current trip. But maybe there's a place with similar energy.

Really at a loss idk why but nothing we've found on our own has felt perfect yet for whatever reason.

The wedding is Christmas and we start work again probably around the 7th (next year's calendar is unconfirmed). So basically 7-10 days in that time frame.
