When to book the Maldives?

We are planning to go to Maldives in January 2023. How far in advance should I book hotel/flight?

We are closing on a house May 9 and unfortunately we cannot open any new credit cards until then. I wanted to open a new travel credit card to get points. But I can always book it now too, I’m just worried the resort i really want may fill up (Sun Siyam Vilu Reef).
