Where to go from BC, Canada?

Hi all! Starting to think about planning our honeymoon after our wedding next summer. I was thinking Fiji or Mauritius but those flights are so long and after the hectic wedding I really don’t want to sit on a plane or deal with layovers for 15+ hours.

Where would you all recommend we go? We’re looking for warm weather, beaches, friendly people, interesting culture and history & lots of animals. Ideally the flight would be under 12 hours from Vancouver BC.

Any country with those things is a huge yes. I would rather it have a more progressive culture as I like wearing a bikini on the beach and will probably be doing regular newlywed PDA.
