Wife traveling from a different country. Planning flights.

Hi all,

I wanted to ask if anyone here has had an experience where they their spouse traveling to the honeymoon destination from someplace different than you.

I got married this year and due to bunch of circumstances couldn't do the honeymoon right after. To add to this, We are currently in a long distance marriage. I had to come back to US after the wedding.

We are planning our honeymoon to maldives in june-july 2022. What would be a could way to plan it out? I'm thinking we could do connecting flights, where we meet at our stay airport and then fly to maldives together.

Do tell if there's any thing else that we need to consider or any tips that might help in planning.
