I'm getting myself so stressed out with trying to pick out an AI resort in Mexico or the DR + the anxiety of travelling outside of Canada/USA for the first time in almost 10 years that I'm starting to bring up a honeymoon in LV to my fiancé. Here are some reasons why:
- The week we were planning on doing our AI trip to either Mexico or DR, my fiancé's favourite NHL team is playing against the Golden Knights in Vegas. Since we live in Canada, we only get to see this team once a year.
- Vegas is the first "real" out of country trip we took together. I say "real" because we went to Montana few times before but I wouldn't count that since it's a quick 40 minute drive to the border from where we go in Montana.
- Vegas is one of my favourite places to go. Since turning 21, I've been 3 times (25 now). There's always something to do or see and it just gives me good vibes/I feel super comfortable there.
- I'm someone who gets bored very easily. Since I'm older + haven't been to an AI in YEARS, I feel like I would just get bored easily. Plus, I wouldn't feel super comfortable leaving the resort to do any excursions.
I hate to say it but I'm also one of those people who kinda care what people think of me sooo would a honeymoon to Vegas be tacky? When I kinda brought it up to my fiancé, he seemed very on board when I told him there would be a hockey game or two going on while we were there & even asked if we could stay at a specific hotel.
There's so many things we didn't get to do last time we went (shows, Grand Canyon, Fremont St) so I feel like if we did that, we'd be more happy.
