Zanzibar vs Diani Beach: Kitesurf Honeymoon, Animals, and Integrated with Locals

My wife and I are looking to finish our honeymoon with 5 days on a beach and can't decide between Diani in Kenya and Zanzibar. Here's what matters to us:

1. Good kitesurfing and kitesurfing lessons
2. Cool animal sightings or experiences and snorkeling
3. Good relationship with locals–I can't stand resort areas that feel like exclusively wealthy white guests exploiting a beach town in a way that doesn't really help the community and creating resentment among the locals (Jamaica has this issue)

Given these 3 priorities, what would you pick–or is there another suggestion I am missing? Thank you!
