Andalucia / Portugal in late December / early January. Thoughts?

Hi all,

My wife and I just got married and are planning to take a delayed honeymoon during the holiday break at end of year.

We are based in Southeast Asia and after considering a handful of locations ex the Americas, my wife is set on doing Andalusia in Spain, the Canaries, with a sprinkle of Portugal and Marrakech. Budget is around $10k all in, and we plan to go for around 3 weeks, driving through Andalusia for about 5 days starting Christmas day, head to Tenerife for 5 days, and continue on to Marrakech and Lisbon/Algarve before heading back home.

I have done a bit of research, looking at past weather reports and YouTube videos on these regions. It seems that these locations are warm enough to walk around in t-shirts during the day but temperatures seem to plunge to low single digits at night in some locations like Granada and Cordoba.

We are the adventurous and curious types and love to walk around getting to know the culture of our destinations but we won't be always on the go considering this is our honeymoon, we will splurge in select locations to really soak it in and relax. Are these locations ideal for a December/January honeymoon? Or should the higher chance of rain/cold nights be enough to deter us and consider elsewhere / another time? Any thoughts or comments are appreciated!
