I’m sure most of the country is aware of the sad and horrible conditions that are in Asheville. As a North Carolina bride, it was the perfect destination for our late October honeymoon. Small town vibes in a big town. Hiking nearby. Great food and atmosphere.
Unfortunately, I highly doubt the roads will be open and the people ready to embrace tourists in less than a month from now. I still need to call the hotel for a refund/update. Essentially I need a plan B.
Does anyone have recommendations for a relaxing fall honeymoon destination that is in the mountains (and a bit protected from hurricanes?) I’d prefer to not have to buy expensive plane tickets so last minute…
