My fiancee and I are looking to stay in the US for our honeymoon this September. It'll be a week long. My fiancee's ideal honeymoon is an over-the-water bungalow in the Caribbean. We don't want to leave the country, though, not to mention we can't afford that. We're looking at $2-3k all in as our preferable price range for the trip.
My preference would be a beach vacation where we can go snorkeling, deep sea fishing, etc. However, for the sake of keeping our options open in the US, we'll listen to anything – beach, mountain resort, etc. The only state in the US that is officially ruled out is California.
